PhD Ömer Faruk Sarıoğlu received his B.Sc. degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Faculty of Science and Engineering, İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent University in 2009. In 2012, he received his M.Sc. degree in Materials Science and Nanotechnology from Faculty of Science and Engineering, İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent University with his thesis entitled “Remediation of Anionic Surfactants and Ammonium by Biological Materials”. In 2016, he received his PhD degree in Materials Science and Nanotechnology from Faculty of Science and Engineering, İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent University with his thesis entitled “Development of biointegrated electrospun nanofibers for environmental applications”. PhD Sarıoğlu also involved in a TÜBİTAK COST project entitled “Uncovering Biomacromolecular Targets for Specific Metal-Based Antitumor Drug Design”. His current research areas include environmental biotechnology, functional material design by combining electrospinning and biological systems and metal-based antitumor drug design. He is also interested in nano drug delivery strategies. He was the co-founder of a startup biotechnology firm (Mikronimtek Ar-Ge & Biyoteknoloji), which is no longer active. PhD Sarıoğlu has published 15 articles within the scope of Science Citation Index (SCI). PhD Sarıoğlu has involved in 2 TÜBİTAK COST projects, 1 TÜBİTAK 3501 Career Project, and 1 University-Industry collaboration project.
