Summary

In recent years, examples have started to increase especially in the use of robots in agriculture and environment. Within the scope of the European Union H2020, we see specific calls for this issue. In this workshop, in the first part, examples of how robots produce solutions in different agricultural areas will be presented and an awareness will be made in our country about the introduction of this issue. In this section, the robotic problems related to agricultural areas will be discussed. It will be discussed which approaches are applied to the solution of these problems and how the results are obtained. For example, fields with orchards make different scenarios, and different solutions are needed to solve the problems in these scenarios by sensor, algorithm and platform. In order to be able to work in agricultural fields, platform based features will be mentioned, the systems currently in use, the capabilities and performances of these systems will be explained.

In the second part, examples about the use of robots in the environmental field will be given. Here, how to use robotic systems in wildlife monitoring will be discussed. Difficulties of working area, use of different robot platforms for this purpose, sensors and algorithms used for monitoring purposes will be explained.
