Istanbul Medeniyet University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences was established in Istanbul, the point where Asia and Europe meet, and aims to share its teaching and research opportunities with the society, and to graduate its students by equipping them to serve in basic sciences and engineering at national and international level. aims.
Our faculty consists of 15 departments: Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Physics Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aircraft Engineering, Space Engineering, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry and Engineering Basic Sciences. In line with its mission with its young, dynamic and devoted staff, our faculty continues to contribute to the world of science with its scientific research activities, while continuing its educational activities in 8 departments.
Our faculty, which offers its students the education and training that will enable them to be competent in their own fields, also strives to make them citizens of the world who are sensitive to the city and the world they live in, can communicate easily with the society, and have a command of universal artistic and cultural values. It makes full use of the cultural, social, economic and technological opportunities of the city in its undergraduate and graduate level education and training activities. In order to use the research potential of universities in the development of industry, cooperation between universities and branches of industry is a necessity for the technological and industrial development of our country. In this direction, maximum effort is made to transfer the researches made in our faculty to industry and technology.
Our faculty continues the pursuit of quality and innovation in a systematic way with the aim of being among the first in its field. In our faculty, which has sincerely adopted a student-oriented education approach, the lesson plans prepared in line with international education and training norms and processes are regularly updated by taking into account the developments in our country and the world, as well as the feedback received from our students and advisory boards. Our faculty, which has started the preparations for accreditation with the excitement and motivation of the rapidly increasing employment of our graduates in the leading institutions of the public and private sector, has equipped its students with high level of professional knowledge and skills. It strives to certify that it educates its students as contemporary individuals who are prone to teamwork, have leadership qualities, can think universally, are objective, open to criticism, and uphold scientific and ethical values, at the national and international level, as soon as possible.
