A two-day hybrid workshop was held at our university, organized by the Mathematics Student Community in collaboration with the Turkish Mathematics Community. In the “5th Algebra Workshop” held on December 14-15, 2024, in the Red Hall in IMÜ North Campus B Block, information was shared on algebra-related topics and participants were informed about current research and studies in this field.
On the first day of the event, following the presentations of Ebru Solak titled “Representing Matrices of Almost Completely Decomposable Groups” and Temha Erkoç titled “Strong Monolithic Characters”, the last scientific presentation of the day was made by Cihan Bahran titled “Stability in Representation Theory”.
On the second day of the event, Taylan Demir, “The Application of the Wronskian Determinant in Algebraic Structures and Its Role in Mathematical Analysis”, Ayşe Aslı Berkman Pierce, “Groups and Graphs”, Ertan Sönmez, “From Nodes to Groups” and Almira Camgözlü, “Solving Differential Equations with Eigenvectors” made their presentations.
The workshop, in which topics from different areas of mathematics were discussed for two days, was completed with the intense interest and scientific contributions of the participants.
