The Informatics Stars Competition, which has been organized by the Istanbul Branch of the Turkish Informatics Association since 2009 as an independent organization and one of the most prestigious competitions in the sector, was organized this year with the theme of "Domestic and National / Original Project Competition". The competition is organized throughout Turkey and covers domestic and national/indigenous project applications and project ideas of private sector companies, companies with R&D centers, universities, technopark companies, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and local governments.
Agena Information and Defense Technologies Inc., which was established with the initiatives of Assoc. Prof. M. Fatih Hocaoğlu, faculty member of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Asst. Prof. İbrahim Genç, faculty member of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, was deemed worthy of the first place in the Private Sector category in the Informatics Stars 2023 competition with its "Agent Based Simulation System" project.
