Istanbul Medeniyet University Mathematics Society organized an event that presented mathematics to students from a different perspective, addressing not only the scientific but also the artistic and cultural aspects of mathematics. The event, which brought together moviegoers and mathematics enthusiasts, was held on Wednesday, December 25th in the Red Hall of the North Campus B Block.
In the event titled “A Mathematician’s Infinite Story,” students who watched the film The Man Who Knew Infinity discovered the life story of Srinivasa Ramanujan, one of the important names in the world of mathematics. The film, which reveals that mathematics is not just about numbers and formulas, but can also be a passion, an art, and a way of life, inspired students with Ramanujan’s genius and life full of challenges.
